Description
In June 1960, the painter Antonis Dalkos complained to the journal Epitheorisi Thechnis (Art Review) that ‘a policeman prevented [him] from painting the “market” of Athens, and because [he] disobeyed [he] was taken to jail, where [he] was kept for five days and nights’.
